Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor

I read the article in the Nov 1st paper about fracking. It would appear that representative for this program have a smooth  and soothing list of answers to question about this “process”.  Then why are a lot of states and  neighborhoods and even single individuals fighting oil companies tooth and nail?  There are many chemicals used in fracking  that cause cancer (I believe the word is carcinogenic).  And oil companies make it extremely  difficult to get a complete list of these. When  these chemicals show up in lakes, streams, and well water the oil  company deny it is their fault.

It would pay West Michigan to beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing or in this case hard hats and

drilling machines.
