Community is invited to enjoy a turkey dinner with all the trimmings
Rockford Reformed Church has been a part of the Rockford community since 1959. They are an outreach-focused congregation and truly enjoy being involved in the community. For the 6th year in a row, the church hopes to once again serve 150+ patrons on Thanksgiving Day. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. for a special Thanksgiving blessing with meal service starting at 1:00 p.m.
The complimentary meal helps those in a struggling economy, but it is also offered to help those who have family out of town, are new to the area, or simply for families looking for a fun place to spend Thanksgiving Day.
“Rockford is such a fabulous town. I love how willing we all are to help one another. If each of us reaches one person, it is pretty amazing what can be accomplished. The blessings we receive are pretty awesome as well,” says Mary Newkirk, one of the dinner’s original organizers. “So we hope to see lots of folks spend Thanksgiving Day with us.”
Please call 616-866-2308 to RVSP. Rockford Reformed Church is located on the corner of 11 Mile and the Beltline (4890 Eleven Mile Road).
