The Squire has become aware of local businesses contacted by a company out of Norwood, MA soliciting weekly columns to be placed in the Rockford Squire newspaper. The letter includes a promise of full editorial control of the column, which no one can promise on behalf of the Squire and is completely untrue. This Syndicated Ad Features has no relationship and had no prior contact with the Squire.
In our past experience with a situation like this the company in question turned out to be a scam. The Rockford Police suggest those contacted make a report of the offer to their local law enforcement agency or make a report to the Michigan Attorney General’s office of Consumer Fraud.
