October students of the month for North Rockford Middle School

Mason Phillips is an 8th grade student and the son of John and Chris.  He has two sisters, Allison and Stacey, and a dog, Gipper.  Mason attended Roguewood Elementary and is very involved in basketball and playing the tenor saxophone.  Mason also enjoys playing baseball, hunting and fishing.  His favorite college is Notre Dame and he would like to become a professional baseball player one day.  His favorite teacher is Mr. Barr, he likes to eat kielbasa, watch the movie Moneyball and read the Hunger Games.  Mason is most proud of being named student of the month, and the person that he admires the most is God.

Jessica Rademacher is an 8th grade student and the daughter of Doreen and Matthew.  She has a younger sister, Aubrey, a dog, and attended Belmont Elementary.  Jessica is very involved with Art and her favorite college is GVSU.  She would like to become a heart surgeon one day.  Her favorite teacher is Mr. Barr, she likes to eat salads, watch the movie The Social Network, and read the Harry Potter series books.  She is most proud of being named student of the month, and the person that she admires the most is her Grandpa.

Cole Johnson is a 7th grade student and the son of Jeff and Julie.  He has an 8 year old brother, Luke and he attended Valley View Elementary.  Cole is involved in cross country, basketball and plays the trumpet in the band.  His favorite college is Florida and his career goal is to one day graduate from college and be successful in whatever he chooses to do.  Cole’s favorite class is Wood Tech 1, his favorite teacher is Mrs. Davison, and he loves to eat pizza, watch the Avengers, read The Hunger Games, and listen to Pop music.  Cole is most proud of getting this honor of Student of the Month, and the person that he admires the most is Tim Tebow.

Allison Motta is a 6th grade student in our Fine Arts Magnet and the daughter of Matt and Tracy.  She has one sibling, Avery, and comes to us from Belmont Elementary.  Allison really enjoys volunteering in her church’s daycare as well as playing soccer and doing arts and crafts.  Her favorite college is Michigan State University, and she hopes to one day become a fashion designer.  She really loves her former teacher, Mrs. Guy, her favorite food is tacos, and she really enjoys the Katy Perry “A Part of Me” movie.  She is most proud of getting an academic award in 5th grade, and the person that she admires the most is her mom.

Brandon Richmond is a 6th grade student in our Fine Arts Magnet and the son of Joe and Kerensa.  He has one older sibling, Kaleigh, and a dog, Kirby.  Brandon attended Valley View Elementary and is active in student council.  Brandon is also involved in football, basketball, hockey, lacrosse.  In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends.  His favorite college is Oregon and he hopes to become pro football player one day.  Brandon’s favorite class is gym and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Ferguson.  He likes to eat raspberries, watch “Friday Night Lights” and read The Hunger Games.  Brandon is most proud of being named student of the month and the person that he admires the most is his mom.

Brooklyn Neumen is a 7th grade student and the daughter of Mark and Sarah Neumen.  She has four siblings, Alyssa, Erika, Becky and Alexis as well as 3 dogs and 2 cats.  Brooklyn attended Valley View Elementary and is active in cross country and band.  Her other hobbies include lacrosse and basketball.  Her favorite colleges are Grand Valley and Hofstra and she hopes to become a veterinarian.  Brooklyn’s favorite subject is math.  She couldn’t select a favorite teacher because she says that “all of her teachers are great!”  Her favorite music is country and she really enjoyed the book Wait ‘till Helen Comes. She is most proud of her family and the person that she admires the most is her dad.
