(Belmont) Mrs. Ruth Ann Reale, (our tough little Mema) passed away while surrounded by her family on Saturday morning, November 24, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Sandusky Ohio , started her family in Toledo and moved to Rockford in 1980. Ruth and her husband were the owners of the Squires Inn Restaurant from 1981 to 1990.  Ruth was an avid gardener, held several jobs and wore many hats, but being a mother and grandmother is the job that defined her. Her children and grandchildren were the greatest joys of Ruth’s life. The Reale family would like to extend a special thank you to Faith Hospice and Vista Northview Manor personnel for their fine care of Ruth. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Sandy Reale; children, Bonnie (Patrick) Carlisle, Donna (Alan) Byron, Joseph (Lanie) Getzinger, Chris Ackerman and Paul, Tracy Jorgensen, Scott (Kim) Reale; grandchildren, Annie, Carrie, Sarah, Emily, Matthew, Jacob, Lucas, Anna, Nick, Lily, Dominic, and Stella; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Genie DeMarco; brother-in-law, Sebastian Reale and his wife, Sandra; and nieces and nephews of Jamestown New York. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Getzinger, sister, Marion and brother, George. The service Mrs. Reale will be Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at the Pederson Funeral Home with The Rev. Tony Russo presiding. Interment in Plainfield Township Cemetery . A special thanks to Faith Hospice and Vista Northview Manor. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Faith Hospice, 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Dr. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
