Eleanor Porter Grifhorst—a very special wife, mother, and grandmother—will turn 90 on December 10. She was born on December 10, 1922 in Rockford, Michigan to John and Lorna DeBoer. Eleanor graduated from Rockford High School. She married Darcy Porter on December 20, 1940. They were married for 50 years, most of which was spent farming in Courtland Township, until his passing.
Their children are Phyllis Dolislager, Ron Porter, Chuck Porter and Darcia 
Kelley. She has eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Eleanor married Harold Grifhorst on January 21, 1992. They have been married for 20 years.
