North Rockford Middle School November Students of the Month

Bianca Balaiu is a 6th grade student in our Health Quest Magnet and is the daughter of Violeta and Lucian. She has 4 brothers and sisters as well as 1 cat, 2 hamsters and 7 fish. Bianca attended Rougewood Elementary and enjoys being involved in tennis, swimming and basketball. Her other hobbies include painting, drawing, playing computer games and reading. Her favorite university is Michigan State and she hopes to become a veterinarian someday. Her favorite teachers are Mr. Long in 6th grade and Mr. Klima in 4th grade. Bianca’s favorite movie is “Avatar”. She loves to eat Chinese food and listens to any kind of music. Bianca is most proud of her grades, and the person that she admires the most is her Mom.

Cameron Trimble is a 6th grade student in our Health Quest Magnet and is the son of Julie and Jeff. He has three siblings, Kyle, Jordan and Maddi, as well as two pets. Cameron attended Belmont Elementary and his hobbies include hanging out with friends and playing video games. His favorite university is Northwestern and he hopes to become an astronaut one day. Cameron’s favorite teacher is Mr. Long. He loves to eat pizza, watch “Spongebob” the movie, and read Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The person he admires the most is his brother.

Megan Parker is a 7th grade student and the daughter of Gary and Kristin. She has one sibling, Paige and two dogs, Samson and Sally. Megan attended Roguewood Elementary and runs cross country for North. She is also involved in soccer and enjoys drawing in her spare time. Megan’s favorite university is Michigan State and she hopes to become a veterinarian someday. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Saur. She loves to eat spaghetti, watch the movie ”The Proposal” and listen to Maroon 5. Megan is most proud of being in Spanish Immersion and the person she admires the most is her mom for being such a good role model.

Alex Anthony is a 7th grade student and the son of Dave and Michelle. He has one sibling, Abbi, as well as a dog, Sophie and a hamster, Oreo. Alex attended Belmont Elementary and is active in basketball and band. He also likes to play football, baseball and participates in Odyssey of the Mind. His favorite university is Michigan but he wants to attend Northwestern to become an architect. Alex’s favorite teacher is Ms. Sollner. He loves to eat pizza and popcorn, watch the movie ”Field of Dreams” and listen to pop music. Alex is most proud of his OM team making it to the World Championships 2 years in a row, and the person that he admires the most is his dad.

Gretchen Parker is an 8th grade student and the daughter of Ken and Winnie. She has one sibling, Maddie, and one pet, Victoria. Gretchen was homeschooled until this year and is currently active in book club and Odyssey of the Mind. Gretchen loves to read, especially Ender’s Game and Harry Potter, likes to eat sushi and pizza, and listen to music from the Newsboys. She is undecided about where she would like to attend college but she hopes to become a biochemist one day. She is most proud of her accomplishments in OM, and the person she admires the most is Sir Winston Churchill.

Andrew Playford is an 8th grade student and the son of Debbie and Brad. He has one sibling, Amanda, as well as 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 ducks, 1 turkey, and 12 chickens. He attended Belmont Elementary and is active in band, National Junior Honor Society and Odyssey of the Mind. His other activities include acting and dancing and he is active with GRCT. Andrew hopes to attend either NYU’s Tisch Program or the University of Michigan Theatre program, which is the best in the nation. Andrew’s career goal is to act, sing and dance in New York. Andrew’s favorite teacher is Ms. Sollner. He loves to eat candy and cookies, his favorite movie is “Guys and Dolls” and he loves to listen to Broadway tunes. Andrew is most proud of getting the lead role at the Civic Theatre in his first show, and the person he admires the most is Sutton Foster.
