The Rams stormed Grand Haven on Tuesday, February 12th, with a 182-124 victory in what was their last OK Red dual meet of the season. The win makes it the 5th OK Red championship in a row for the Rockford boys’ team, and the 12th in school history.

Junior Chris Lemoine was a double winner for the Rams with his first place finishes in the 50yd free (22.93), and the 100yd free (51.97) that night. Although it was an easy win for the Rockford swimmers, who swept the top three spots in numerous events, the Rockford divers faced their toughest challenge all season in the conference when they battled on the diving board against a very talented Grand Haven squad. Grand Haven’s Casey Carlson dove to first place with 248.50 points, followed by teammate Griffin Dwyer in second (230.10). Rockford’s Jake Herremans pulled into third (226.25), while teammate Shane Phillips grabbed fourth (209.35).

Swim-0085Rockford now sits in an enviable first place position after the OK Red dual season has completed, when they walk into the Conference Championships this week at the Grand Haven Natatorium. The diving prelims will begin on Thursday, February 21st, at 5pm, while the swimming prelims begin at 2pm on Friday, February 22nd. Both swimming and diving finals will start at 12pm on Saturday, February 23rd, at the Grand Haven pool.
