Great Lakes Ice Cream and Fast Food Association (GLIC&FFA) awarded Megan Hurst of Rockford Michigan, a 2013 Ward J. Anderson Scholarship. Megan and her parents were honored guests at the GLIC&FFA Awards Banquet Dinner held during the Annual Convention and Trade Show, January 31 – February 2, 2013 at the Lansing Center in Lansing Michigan. Megan was sponsored by her employer Frank and Jennifer Kramarz of Custard By The Dam in Rockford Michigan.

To be eligible, student employees must be high school seniors through college seniors (their 4th year of college) in a five-year program this Fall, worked a minimum of three (3) months for a GLIC&FFA member within this year, have minimums of 20 on the ACT composite or 1,000 on SAT and 3.0 GPA, and plan on attending a college or university next Fall.

Since the Ward J. Anderson Scholarship program began over $147,000 in scholarship monies have been awarded to GLIC&FFA student employees.
