Students earn over $14K for Jump Rope for Heart

The Rockford Public Schools elementary P.E. teachers are pleased to announce the final totals for this year’s Jump Rope for Heart event. With all eight elementary schools represented, 207 jumpers participated in the event at Rockford High School on Saturday, February 9, raising $14,324.47 for the American Heart Association.

Special congratulations go out to the top six money raisers from the event, listed along with his/her school: Rebecca Loker (Roguewood), Erin Mulcahy (Cannonsburg), Erika Roodvoets (Belmont), Addison Forrester (Meadow Ridge), Abby Kurtz (Crestwood) and Tyler Whitehead (Belmont). Rebecca Loker raised $1,165 for Jump Rope for Heart, the most ever raised by a Rockford student in the 19-year history of the Rockford Public Schools Jump Rope for Heart event.

A huge thanks goes out to all of the students who participated as well as the community and parents for their support.
