Rockford High School hosts Spring Swing

The Rockford High School Jazz Band and Rockford High School’s Drama club invite you to join them for an evening of jazz music and swing dancing as they host their first annual SPRING SWING. The event will be held on Friday, April 26, from 7-9 p.m. in the Rockford Fine Arts Auditorium.

Tickets will be available at the door and admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. As an added treat, guests may join Ginger Child Smith at 6:15 p.m. to learn some basic swing dance steps. Tickets for the “dance lessons” are $5 per person. The music for the evening will be provided by the High School Jazz Band, conducted by North Rockford Middle School band director Cullen McCarthy.

Proceeds from the SPRING SWING go to support the Rockford High School Jazz Band along with Rockford High School’s Drama Club, led by Kaelynn VanBuren. As an added bonus, all activities for the evening will be held on the Fine Arts Auditorium stage; seating, refreshments and dancing. Please plan to come out and support these talented members of both the Jazz Band and the Drama Club as they present an evening of activities sure to entertain.
