Lady Rams are off to a great start!

Despite many rainouts, Rams tennis finally competed against East Grand Rapids on April 15 and 16.

Paula Downs and Courtney Fedeson, first doubles for Rockford, succumbed after a long battle with EGR.  They lost the first set 2-6 but had a major comeback and were ahead 4-1 when rain postponed play until the following day.

Quickly finishing the second set, winning 6-1, the third set was a battle with long rallies and impressive net play.  With nearly every game battling to deuce, they lost the final game after 5 deuce scores losing 4-6.

Sophomore, Alyssa Bowman, earned a point for the Rams at #2 singles, winning her match with a score of 6-3, 6-0.  Adeline Nelson, freshman, went into split sets with East’s #1 senior.  The score was 3-6, 6-0 and then rained out.  The following day, Adeline had a great match but lost 3-6.
