Rockford Chamber 18th annual community golf outing May 10

The Rockford Chamber of Commerce (RCC) invites you to put a foursome together and come have some fun with us! The RCC is proud to present its 18th Annual Community Golf Outing on Friday, May 10, and everyone is welcome. The Chamber will be showcasing the rolling links of Candlestone Golf & Resort for this year’s event. The golf resort is an honored RCC member.

For only $75-per-person, you get 18 holes, golf cart, hole events, a chance to win a new car, goodie bag, raffle prizes, dinner – and a very enjoyable day. There will be competitions at each hole with prizes going to the winner, one prize per golfer. Golfers will also get a chance to win a new Truck from K&M in the hole-in-one contest.

The winning team will enjoy ownership of the beautiful crystal traveling championship trophy for a year – and the bragging rights that go along with it. Blaine Kellermeier, of Kellermeier Plumbing, along with Mark Lewis, Tom Lovell and Todd Hurst earned honors last year by shooting a stellar 10-under-par 62. And this was despite claims from plenty of others that they would shoot the best round – prior to the first tee shot, of course. There will also be hole contests such as longest drive, closest to the pin and target golf.

Proceeds from the golf outing support the Rockford Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund, so this is a very important fundraising event. Sponsorships, donations for raffle prizes and promotional giveaways are welcome and sincerely appreciated, just let us know and we will come pick your donation up.

Don’t miss out on this great networking opportunity – registration deadline for golfing is May 3. Don’t have a foursome? Just give us a call and we will find you a team! For more information, please contact the Rockford Chamber of Commerce at 866-2000, or visit to download a registration form.
