Lady Rams tennis sweeps the title at Ludington

Not only did the team win, but took first place in #1 Singles, Adeline Nelson 3-0; #2 Singles, Alyssa Bowman 3-0; #4 Lydia Elford 3-0; #3 Doubles and #4 Doubles.

Not only did the team win, but took first place in #1 Singles, Adeline Nelson 3-0; #2 Singles, Alyssa Bowman 3-0; #4 Lydia Elford 3-0; #3 Doubles and #4 Doubles.

The Rockford and Grandville girls tennis teams each won two of the four flights in singles and doubles en route to a 4-4 tie on Monday.

Rockford took singles flights 1 and 2, as Adeline Nelson defeated Grandville’s Katerina Buck, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 1 singles, and Alyssa Bowman defeated Isabella Buck, 6-2, 6-1.

At No. 4 doubles, Grandville’s Jessica Abraham and Shelby Bargenquast defeated Rockford’s Elyse Ramsay and Samantha Harrell, 6-4, 7-6.

Sophomore, Alyssa Bowman, #2 singles, improves to 4-1 in conference play defeating Grandville’s Isabella Buck in straight sets 6-2 6-1.
