Rockford Lions are miracle makers with donation of $10,000

Lions-at-MiracleOn Wednesday, May 15, The Rockford Lions proudly watched how their funding helped make it possible for six physically challenged children to wield golden shovels in breaking ground for Rockford’s new Nate Hurwitz Miracle League Baseball Field.

Now children with disabilities will have their own venue and league allowing them to enjoy playing America’s game of baseball.   A true Miracle, thus field name, tailored to meet the needs of the disabled, is well underway with opening day scheduled for Sept. 27th.

The Rockford Lions thank the citizens of Rockford for their continued support of Lion fund raisers. Your dimes and dollars allow us to serve the needs of our community and help launch great projects like this Miracle League Baseball Field.
