A new company – RedWater Restaurant Group – has acquired Reds on the River in Rockford, Michigan and now owns and operates four distinct restaurants in the Greater Grand Rapids Area including Reds on the River (Rockford), Watermark Grille (Cascade), FireRock Grille (Kentwood/Caledonia) and Rush Creek Bistro (Grandville).
Craig Smith, Chief Operating Officer of the RedWater Restaurant Group who will lead the four restaurants states, “I am excited and proud to manage four of the most distinguished restaurants that are recognized as the Greater Grand Rapids community’s best. Our restaurants are known for consistently delivering a high quality dining experience within unique, aesthetically pleasing, casual settings. In the summertime, we have the best outdoor patio dining experiences which uniquely feature golf course views, a waterfall, a river walk, and fire pits.”
Reds on the River, known as one of the finest restaurants in West Michigan, will continue under the direction of Chef Glenn Forgie who was selected as the “Best Chef of 2011” by the judges of Grand Rapids Magazine’s Annual Dining Awards. Forgie is the second chef to have won the “Best Chef of the Year” in the RedWater Restaurant Group within the last four years. Reds on the River is known for its quality location and expansive outdoor patio on the river along with exceptional food, wine selection, and service. “Reds” will continue to provide lunch and dinner, as well as a new Happy Hour Monday through Saturday in downtown Rockford.
