Rockford student earns Howe School leadership award

LeisureThe Howe School (formerly Howe Military School) has announced that Cadet Brandon Leisure has won the National Sojourners JROTC award for Americanism. The award recognizes a third year JROTC cadet who has encouraged and demonstrated the ideals of Americanism by deed or conduct, has demonstrated a potential for outstanding leadership, and ranks in the top 25% of his/her academic class. Cadet Leisure, an 11th grader and son of Kim Hallifax of Rockford, MI, has attended Howe since August 2009.
