Rockford fifth grader learns about the joy of giving

Hopeland's-letterGrace Nichols, a 5th grader at Lakes Elementary, was thrilled to receive a thank you letter from Hopeland, a 10 year old girl living in Uganda who received the shoe box gift that Grace sent to her in 2012.  Grace packs shoe boxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items and toys for Operation Christmas Child each year to send to needy children all over the world.  She has already started collecting and making items to put in her boxes this November.   Visit www.samaritanspurse.org/occ to find out more about how to pack shoe box gifts with Operation Christmas Child.
