Long time Rockford auto dealer passes away

For over 20 years, Merrill Vander Syde was a well known figure in the automotive industry in Rockford. Not only was he a prominent businessman in the local area community, but a huge fan of the Buick line of vehicles developed by General Motors. Merrill was a 40 year member of the Buick Club of America (BCA), and was enthusiastic with ‘anything and everything’ car related. He was a good father to his four sons, and a devoted husband to his wife, Ruegina. He loved to travel with his wife, and always inspired his sons to work hard.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Vander Syde was held at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, Wyoming last week Friday, July 12.
