Jade celebrates ten years

Ten years after Julie Cronkright dreamed of opening a quaint boutique in downtown Rockford, she is still amazed and grateful each time she sees a returning customer walk through the door.

“It’s rewarding to know that we are consistently and successfully tapping into the style sense and interests of women from around Michigan. I’m celebrating an incredible gift: 10 years of doing something I love and translating that passion for thousands of other women to enjoy,” said Cronkright.

This year, Jade was recognized as a “2013 Top Women Owned Business” by the Grand Rapids Business Journal – an encore to last year’s Townie Award for “Best Clothing Store”. “We have been very blessed with the popularity and recognition of the store,” said Cronkright. “It’s the loyalty of our great customers that make Jade what it is.”

A Rockford resident, Cronkright and husband, Tom, just returned from a New York buying trip, one of several she takes annually to monitor fashion trends and track new and favorite designers. “We are unveiling and showcasing our new fall clothing collection and jewelry, and handbags during our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration beginning Thursday Aug. 22 through Saturday Aug. 24,” said Cronkright.

“Thursday, Friday and Saturday, customers will enjoy discounts, free gifts, giveaways, and more,” said Cronkright. “We also want to welcome everyone to our 10-Year Anniversary Open House Friday evening, Aug.23, from 6pm to 9pm. Come and enjoy the festivities featuring music, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in a fabulous architectural space overlooking the Rogue River. It is going to be a celebration of an awesome decade!”
