North Rockford Middle School October students of the month

Camille Dahlke is a 6th grade student in our Health Quest team and the daughter of Tim and Angela Dahlke.  She has two siblings named Brooke and Braden as well as a dog named Willow.

Camille attended Valley View elementary and is active in basketball, volleyball, and plays the french horn.  In her free time she enjoys church activities and going to MVP.  Camille hopes to attend either Central Michigan, Cornerstone, or Michigan State and wants to be a teacher.  Her dream trip would be to travel to Hawaii.

Some of Camille’s favorites include teacher Mr. Long and math class, eating watermelon, watching Christmas movies like the Grinch, the book Out of My Mind, and listening to Christian Rock.  Camille is most proud of her faithful heart and helping others and the person that she admires the most is Jesus.

Trey Brisbin is a 6th grade student in our Health Quest team and the son of Hannah Brisbin.  He has three siblings named Landon, Sophia, and Penelope as well as a cat named Hailey.

Trey attended Roguewood elementary and is active in after school programs like intramurals and middle mania.  Trey enjoys playing sports throughout the year.  He cheers for Michigan State and hopes to become either a professional athlete or a police officer one day.  His dream trip would be to travel to either the Bahamas or Costa Rica.

Some of Trey’s favorites include teachers Mr. Long, Mrs. Eppink, and Mrs Scarbnick, pizza and mac and cheese, the movie Blind Side, the book Gregor the Overlander, and listening to Christian and pop music.  Trey is most proud of doing well in school and getting good grades and the people that he admires the most are his grandpa and his mom.

Alayna Story is a 7th grade student and the daughter of Stephen and Kristen Story.  She doesn’t have any siblings, but they are currently hosting an exchange student from Brazil.  She has a dog named Lulu.

Alayna attended Valley View elementary and is active on the dive team for NRMS.  She is also involved in competitive dance and enjoys skiing, dancing, photography, and running in her free time.  Alayna would like attend either Grand Valley or Michigan State and wants to become either a podiatrist, chiropractor, or doctor one day. Her dream trip would be to travel to Norway.

Some of her favorites include teachers Mr. Barr and Miss Clarin, eating Sushi, the movie Sound of Music, reading the Lunar Chronical Series, and listening to Oh Wonder, and Francesca Battistelli.  She is most proud of getting into the top 30 out of 200 girls for a scholarship to NYCDA.  She didn’t get it but she came very close.  The person that she admires the most is Melanie Holt because she is an amazing dancer and an even better person who is so sweet and would do anything for anyone.

Devin Kladder is a 7th grade student and the son of Chris and Karen Kladder.  He has one sibling named Trevor.

Devin attended Valley View elementary and is involved in baseball and soccer.  In his free time he enjoy playing more baseball and building legos.  Devin cheers for Michigan State and hopes to one day play for the Detroit Tigers.  His dream trip would be to travel to Florida to visit Harry Potter land.

Some of Devin’s favorites include band class with Mr. McCarthy, hamburgers, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, all of the Harry Potter books, and listening to Christmas music.  Devin is most proud of the time his team took 2nd place in a baseball tournament as it was his best finish to date.  The person that he admires the most is his dad for always helping him work on his baseball skills.

Emma Sweeney is an 8th grade student and the daughter of Teri and Kevin Sweeney.  She has three siblings named Kyle, Mara, and Avery as well as a dog named Flash and a cat named Snow Flake.

Emma attended Valley View elementary and is on the yearbook staff at NRMS.  In her free time she enjoys attending new shows at the Grand Rapids Civic theater as well as reading.  Emma cheers for Michigan State and hopes to become a costume designer one day.  Her dream trip would be to travel to Hawaii one day.

Some of her favorites include teachers Ms. Ward and Mr. Anderson, mustard, the movie Do You Believe, reading the Red Queen series, and listening to Britt Nicole.  Emma is most proud of joining the theater and getting a camp scholarship from them and the person that she admires the most is Denise Bradley because she is so kind and always puts others first.

Colin Beckett is an 8th grade student and the son of Cori and Dave Beckett.  He has one sibling named MaKenna as well as a dog named Mollie.

Colin attended Belmont elementary and is active in hockey and golf.  In his free time he enjoys playing basketball and other sports with his friends.  Colin would like to attend Michigan Tech to become an engineer one day.  His dream trip would be to travel to Hawaii.

Some of Colin’s favorites include math class with Mrs. Kilbourne, eating hamburgers, eggs and chicken, watching the entire Rocky series, reading all of the Harry Potter books, and listening to music from the 80’s and 90’s.  Colin is most proud the time that he worked so hard in 5th grade and received a gold medal award for academics.  The person that he admires the most is his mom because she is always there for him whenever he needs her.
