Students recycling oral care items to win new playground

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary students are recycling oral care items in a contest sponsored by Terracycle, Meijer, and Colgate.  The school is awarded points by recycling empty toothpaste tubes, toothpaste boxes, toothbrushes, toothpaste packaging and floss containers. Anyone can vote once everyday to also award points for the school. The playground contest ends June 30th and your votes would be appreciated!

“By participating in TerraCycle’s Oral Care Recycling Program, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School and the parish community have united to lead our students as good stewards of the Earth and to care for God’s creation by eliminating this waste from landfills,” said Dorothy Remington, Home and School President of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School. “It’s a great experience for all involved to recycle oral care items that everybody uses and to work together to win a new playground for our school.”
