North Kent Community Toastmasters celebrate education awards

Lynne Bradley-Horan, Dave Martella, and Dan Horon

North Kent Community Toastmasters celebrates education levels achieved by two members.

Dan Horon of Sparta earned an Advanced Communicator Bronze, the second level in the communication tract of the Traditional Program.  Dan’s specialty is story telling.  He says, “Toastmasters is Great!  You can tell your own story in your own way, then get feedback, and tell it better the next time!”

Lynne Bradley-Horan, also of Sparta, earned a Presentation Mastery, Level 1 Certificate in the Pathways online education program.  “I’m so excited about Pathways.  It’s an entirely new approach.  I’ve been a member for 17 years, but there’s always something new to learn!”

Dave Martella, VP Education, presented the awards at the Club’s August 7th meeting.  “Pathways is a revitalized program with a renewed focus on leadership — learning competencies that have immediate real-world applicability with online accessibility.  Current members have until June, 2020 to complete the Traditional Program.  New members start with Pathways.  We reach our personal and professional goals through Toastmasters.”

North Kent Toastmasters invite you to visit.  Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month at 7:00 pm to 8:45 pm at the Bella Vista Church, 5100 Belding Road, Rockford.  Follow the signs to Room 6.
