Rockford To Host Marching Band Competition

The RHS Marching Band will perform their 2018 show “Amongst the Stars” in exhibition at the 36th Annual Rockford Marching Band Invitational. 

The Rockford High School Marching Band will play host to schools across Michigan at the 36th Annual Rockford Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, September 22, 2018.  Participating schools include:  Kelloggsville, Olivet, Wayland Union, Sparta, Otsego, Mt. Pleasant, Mattawan, Northview, Byron Center, and Jenison

Gates open at 4:30 pm and the competition begins at 5:15 pm with the playing of the national anthem by the members of the RHS Marching Band Class of 2019.

Admission fees for the day are Adults $8.00; Seniors 60+ and Students grades K-12 $6.00, and Children under 5 are free. Refreshments will be served throughout the event.

The Rockford Marching Band will perform their 2018 show “Amongst the Stars” in exhibition at 8:30 p.m. with awards to follow at 8:45 p.m.

On September 29, 2018 the band will travel to Bowling Green, Ohio for their first judged competition of the year at the Bands of America Regional where they will compete against 24 bands representing five area states.
