United Bank collects over 1,200 blankets to help spread warmth this winter

In an effort to ease the burden of families who struggle to stay warm during cold winter months, United Bank collected blankets at all twelve of its branches and distributed them to our neighbors in need through its Blanket the Community project.

“It’s been heartwarming to receive so much support from our communities. In its second year, our Blanket the Community Project collected over 1,200 blankets – enough to run the length of 26 football fields! Absolutely amazing,” said United Bank President & CEO Mike Manica. “A warm blanket may seem like a simple gift, but it does more than just meet an immediate need. It’s a reminder to our neighbors that they’re not alone during difficult times, and that their community cares about them.”

United Bank sincerely thanks all participants for their enthusiasm, support and generosity in helping provide a solution to a need that is real, right here in our community!
