On March 6th, at Grandville High School the Rockford High School orchestra attended a festival. Under the direction of Erin Deyoung, they performed exceptionally well! The high school orchestra received outstanding ratings and comments from the adjudication panel, including all first division ratings from their four adjudicators. On the adjudicators sheet the students received mostly all A ratings which is a feat in itself. Aside from having mainly all A ratings, the adjudicators all said that they were impressed with how our orchestra had grown over these past years, and they can’t wait to see what is to come! This orchestra once started as 71 6th and 7th grade children, who knew absolutely nothing. It is absolutely mind blowing that there are now over 320 students in our orchestra program. We are extremely proud of our students and the hard work and dedication they put in. We also would like to thank Erin Deyoung for starting our students off on their musical careers!
