Seven year old donates hair for cancer patients

Seven year old Ellyanna, after her donation to Beautiful Lengths.  Beautiful Lengths is a program sponsored by Pantene, providing wigs to those facing cancer.  Her hair was cut by Sarah Fikkert at Bangz in downtown Rockford. Elly is the daughter of Tim and Christine Kraai of Rockford. Elly’s mother, Christine, is presently battling cancer herself.

Kids fish free in May

Free Kids’ Fishing every Saturday morning in May from 9-noon at the Izaak Walton League. Kids must be accompanied by an adult, but helpers and equipment are on hand!
