Alex McCrone, a sixth-grader at East Rockford Middle School, was announced as the winner of Rudy Kazoody’s drawing last month for a 1.75-pound jawbreaker. Congratulations, Alex!

Joy is blood red,
Looks like Jesus, my Savior, on the cross,
Smells like ice cream on a carefree summer day,
Sounds like Arise, My Love followed a chorus of Mighty to Save,
Tastes like the snack at the end of play pactice,
Joy makes me feel whole.
