Kick off the season with Bostwick Lake Church’s annual Fall Festival combining scripture, reflective readings and musical selections. The 10:30 a.m. service will feature the musical ensembles Adams Family and Cantando. The central theme of “faith” will be explored through the eyes of historical figures Mary Queen of Scots and Swedish diplomat Dag Hammarskjold. Known for their blended vocals, the Adams Family sing gospel and socially relevant standard tunes. The all-female vocal ensemble Cantando is comprised of women from all religious walks. <p><strong>Pink Polo Power</strong>—6 p.m. at Rockford High School Natatorium to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Lady Rams varsity and JV water polo teams will host two games against Zeeland, decked in pink caps with pink balls and plenty of pink polo power. Event also includes contests, games, face painting, and t-shirts and ribbon items for sale, along with breast cancer awareness literature.</p>
<p><strong>Kevin Cole &amp; The Gershwin Brothers in Concert</strong>—7:30 p.m. in Calvin Chapel in Grand Rapids, as part of the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival.
