Rockford trio state racquetball champs

Three Rockford residents win state titles at the Racquetball Association of Michigan State Singles Tournament held on March 26-28 at the Davison Athletic and Country Club in Davison, Mich. The three state champions are (pictured l–r) Mike Chambon, who won the Men’s A Division, Rich Westerbrink, who won the Men’s 50+ B and was named Tournament Director of the Year, and Steve Jazwiec, who is the City of Rockford Mayor Pro Tem, winning two divisions, the Men’s 45+ A and the Men’s 50+ A.

Rockford Community Education holds first soccer tourney

It was held for seventh- and eighth-graders and the women’s 30+ league. The HopCat team was 2-1 playing in the rain, hail, wind and very chilly temperatures. Half of the players either live or work in Rockford and are very active in the sport and within the community.

Lady Rams track & field team finishes with perfect dual meet record
