Rockford tennis wins own invitational

Rockford’s girls varsity tennis team of (l–r) MJ Bothma, Lauren Korlewitz, Coach Tom Huizing, Heather Williams, Tara Murray, Katie Rachon, Jenelle Miller, Nichole Strobel, Julie Daukss, Alex Stembaugh, Megan Zawacki, Mackenzie Young and Lindsay Gauger brave the 40 degree temperature and high winds to win the Rockford Quad Invitational. Team captains Williams and Rachon accepted the team plaque for first place.

 The Rockford girls varsity tennis team started the 2010 season by hosting the first Rockford Quad Invitational April 17 on the newly resurfaced courts.
