Kevin,
I am sorry to read about your mom. I didn't know they had moved to the east side of the state. Good for you to be near both of them.
Do you know we are having a class reunion this year? It's July 31 at Wabasis Park. Save the date.
Again, I'm sorry about your mom.

The Pinewood Derby was one of the highpoints of my scouting experience...both as a scout and the parent of a scout.

To give back, for what I received from that experience…I wrote and just released a book about the Derby called "Pinewood-Winning by the Rules" ISBN 978-1-60911-153-3. It shows that the “BIG race” can be won by sticking to the rules…Isn’t that what scouting is all about?

My son was district champ for 3 years in a row and he did that by following every rule and doing his best. It is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Borders websites…also through my website.

I agree ,whats wrong with a few resturents coming to ten mile , every other community where a meijers goes in buisness, and resturents follow , but not in rockford , you would rather we drive ten miles or more to alpine and spend our money. and i know many who do. because it is already to busy to park downtown. it time to let this area develope. help our gas budget too.

I'm the guy who had the honor to paint this fish for a truly freat fisherman. I had never before read about a trophy catch where a guide gave all the credit to the fisherman and a fisherman gave all the credit to the fish and the "Fisher of Men."
If anyone deserves this experience, these gentlemen do. Congratulations to them and MI.
