Cannon fights Village fire

A fire in a shed of an unoccupied home on Peach Tree Avenue in the Village in Rockford was quickly put out by Cannon Township firefighters. Reader Ben Shine sent this picture of the blaze, which was burning Wednesday, April 13 at 4:30 p.m.

   

Rotarians play in road with high school students

Rockford Rotarians were joined by Rockford High School volunteers as they cleaned up their designated stretch of Ten Mile Road on Thursday, April 14.
