Chamber luncheon to feature Dr. Linda Chamberlain

The Rockford Chamber of Commerce (RCC) is proud to present the October installment of its popular Bi-Monthly Luncheon Series. The event is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4 at Bostwick Lake Inn, 8521 Belding Road, Rockford. The featured speaker is Dr. Linda Chamberlain, executive director of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Grand Valley State University. Chamberlain will share her knowledge and expertise in this selected field during her presentation, “Working Together to Catalyze Our Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.” She received both her BS and doctorate degrees in chemistry with honors from Purdue University. Chamberlain joined Shell Development Company in 1987 as a futures research chemist and later moved into management of scientific and technical teams. During her eight years at Shell, she had 19 patents issued for work in catalyst, polymer and product/process development. For the three years prior to her current role, Chamberlain served as executive director of the West Michigan Science & Technology Initiative, a business accelerator focused on commercialization of life science products and technologies. In addition, she is the owner and principle of InnoValuation, a company that focuses on ensuring companies have the processes and tools to extract the full value of their best innovations. The bi-monthly luncheon is a wonderful way to enjoy good food, expert advice and excellent company in a relaxed atmosphere. Drawings for prizes are conducted at the conclusion of the event.
