Sundstrom–Laninga Kambra Sundstrom and David Laninga II of Rockford are engaged to be married in May 2011. Kambra is a 2003 Rockford High School graduate and a graduate of Grand Valley State University. David is a 2001 Rockford High School graduate and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Their parents are Thomas and Wendy Sundstrom and David and Susan Laninga, all of Rockford.
Doug and Sue Daschner of Davidson, N.C. (formerly of Rockford), are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Lynn Daschner, to Chad Lewis E. Wells, son of Dan Wells and Deb LaCombe of Sheridan, Mich. Stacey is a 2005 Rockford High School graduate and received her bachelor of science degree in graphic design from Ferris State University. She is currently working as a graphic designer for the Southwest YMCA and is also a marketing administrator for NextStep E-Solutions. She also enjoys doing freelance design projects on the side. Chad is a 2005 Central Montcalm High School graduate and received his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Ferris State University. After recently graduating from the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Academy, Chad is a deputy for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently working in the Santa Clara County court system and will soon start his field training. Stacey and Chad met while attending Ferris State University. They were friends at first, then their friendship blossomed into a romance. They have become inseparable as their love has grown even stronger since they moved to San Jose, Calif. together last December. Chad and Stacey will marry on April 8, 2011, and will reside in San Jose, Calif.
Peggy Schneider of Plymouth and Bill Stickney of Stockbridge announce the engagement of their daughter Kelli Stickney to Brandon Carlson. The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of Plymouth Salem High School and a 2001 Grand Valley State University graduate. She is employed by Walker Charter Academy as a seventh- and eighth-grade social studies teacher. Brandon Carlson of Howard City is the son of Mike Carlson of Newaygo and Fran Carlson of Howard City. He is a 1999 graduate of Tri-County High School and a 2003 Michigan State University graduate. He is the owner of Carlson Arbogast Farms. The couple are planning an August 13, 2011 wedding at Fountain Street Church and St. Cecelia’s Music Society in Grand Rapids. They will honeymoon in Italy, and will reside in Rockford.
Megan Zorn and Neal Schroeder will be joined in marriage on June 18, 2011, in Toledo, Ohio. The future bride is a graduate of Rockford High School and Bowling Green State University. She is a graduate student in social work at the University of Pittsburgh. The future groom is a graduate of Columbus Grove High School and Ohio State University. He is a case specialist in foster care. The couple currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pa. Parents of the couple are Darrell and Pamela Zorn of Belmont and Mack and Elaine Schroeder of Columbus Grove, Ohio.
Reed-Osbeck Mike and Colleen Reed of Rockford are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Holly Reed to Corey Osbeck of Rockford. The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Rockford High School, a 2010 graduate of Taylor University, and is currently completing her masters degree in social work at Grand Valley State University. The groom-elect is the son of Tim and Jill Osbeck of Rockford. He is a 2006 graduate of Rockford High School, a 2010 graduate of Grand Valley State University, and is currently employed by the IRS. Attending the wedding will be maid of honor Stacy Hoeksema, best man Kenny Osbeck, along with bridesmaids Danielle Schmutz, Jill Geyer and Leah Mattson and groomsmen Craig Gurr, Kris Shear and Mathue Osbeck. A November 13, 2010 ceremony is planned at West Cannon Baptist Church, officiated by the groom’s grandfather, Rev. Russell Osbeck. The couple will honeymoon in Playa del Carmen and reside in Grand Rapids.
