Benefiting W.A.R. International Quack-Back.com sponsored the first ever “hippity hop relay” at North Rockford Middle School, raising $1,665 and a basket full of underwear for Women At Risk’s orphanage in Haiti. Due to gray skies and intermittent rain, the event was moved indoors, but team spirits weren’t dampened a bit. Crash from the Whitecaps led the contestants in a WhiteCap water relay and Red from Red Robin Restaurants handed out free shake certificates to attendees. The first QuackBack triathlon brought laughter to all and awarded prizes donated by MC Sports and Olga’s. Texas Roadhouse from Grandville won the relay and took home the coveted “Duck Cup,” which was no easy task as they had to take down the “Princess Warriers,” “Pickle Power” and Texas Roadhouse Kentwood for the victory. There were many businesses who jumped on board and donated prizes for the participants. A complete list of sponsors can be found by clicking on the “Hop a Mile to Help a Child” link at quack-back.com. Next year, organizers aim to triple the amount raised for Women At Risk (W.A.R.) orphanages. QuackBack LLC donates $1 of every online purchase to W.A.R. With a mission to encourage all of the women in your life in a unique and fun way, the dollar donation also sends encouragement to a woman around the globe.
