Rockford man completes Ironman triathalon

Todd Tremlin of Belmont participated in the Lake Placid Ironman triathlon on July 24, 2011. The Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run, which are done in succession. The race can take up to 17 hours to complete, and is extremely physically demanding. Athletes must train for at least a year in advance in order to have a successful race. Todd successfully completed the Lake Placid Ironman with a time of 13 hours and 38 minutes.
