Streeter Mrs. Pauline V. Streeter, age 84, of Rockford passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. She was born in Grand Rapids in an area where her parents lived which was called the Interurban, a turn-around for the street cars coming out of Grand Rapids. Pauline eloped with her sweetheart, Harold, before he was sent overseas, and later their marriage was sealed by the Mormon Church. During the war she worked in the factories, and in between children she was an Independent Demonstrator and for 25 years was a crown member of Stanley Home Products. At the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she taught Sunday school, was Primary President of children, helped with the teenagers and the women of the Stake Relief Society in the West Michigan area, and did all kinds of charity work. In Chicago she was a temple worker for the Temple. She was a 1945 graduate of Rockford High School and member of the Golden “R” Club. Pauline is survived by her children, Pamela Ruth and David Wadsworth of Grand Rapids, Mark Richard Allen and Barbara Streeter of Sugarland, Texas, Valerie Lynn and Timothy Mack of Vaughn, Mont., and Tamara Leigh and Michael Myckowiak of Grand Rapids; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Randy (Jane) Streeter of Rockford; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and their families; her aunts, Mrs. Lillian Atwood of Rockford and Mrs. Byrdie Sarkees of Grand Rapids. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her son, Randy; her sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Jontz; her brother, Richard Armstrong; her sister-in-law, Ruth Streeter; and her parents, Paul and Violet (Atwood) Williams. The service for Mrs. Streeter was at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Grand Rapids, with Bishop Michael Robinaugh officiating.
