Books for Pregnancy or Early Childhood Needed

A Grand Rapids program operated by the Salvation Army runs a home for young unwed mothers with the goal of supporting them through their pregnancy and helping them to stay in school. One need the program has is for new or gently used books on pregnancy, child care or for reading to young children. Rockford Rotary recently donated $1,000 in Scholastic Books for the program and is collecting donations. Pregnancy books should be published within the last ten years. Drop off locations are at Bishop Hills Elder Care Community on 11 Mike Road (behind Our Lady of Consolation Church) and the Rockford Squire newspaper, 331 Northland Drive.
