The Rockford Lions do have hams and are fanning out around town inviting their fellow residents to join them, once again, in celebrating the upcoming April 4 Easter holiday with a traditional Easter feast featuring delicious Easter ham. They are offering top premium, bone-in, precooked, 7- to 9-pound spiral-sliced hams with a glazing packet. Neighborhood cooks recommend serving them either cold or warmed. They are especially delicious warmed—pop it in the oven, bath it in the glaze, garnish with either maraschino cherries or slices of pineapple, and spoil your family. They even freeze well. Priced at only $29, you will eat well and save well! As with all Lions fundraisers, all proceeds from the Easter ham sale will be returned to the community through the support of organizations such as North Kent Service Center, Rogue Valley Towers, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, Rockford Police D.A.R.E. Program, Leader Dogs, Michigan Eye Bank, Sightseer Radio, and special community needs. Hams will be available for pick-up April 1-3 from 3 to 6 p.m. from a refrigerated truck located in the Baskets in the Belfry parking lot, 43 E. Bridge St., downtown Rockford. To order, see your Lion neighbor or call the Lions at (616) 866-4193.
