Stegmiers take Squire on western vacation

The Rockford Squire travels to Estes Park, Colo. with Gail and Bob Stegmier. These pictures were taken April 18 and included an overnight stay at the famous and historic Stanley Hotel with their son Steve and his son Josh, along with daughter Amy Schulz and her husband Dave.

Young Angler happy with Rogue River catch

Thomas Newman, 6, pulls in a small mouth bass from the Rogue River while fishing above the Rockford dam on a recent summer evening. Thomas, a first-grade student at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic School in Rockford, was at the dam with his mother, Chrystal Newman, prior to the start of school. The Rockford boy was using an artificial minnow lure. It was his first fish of the evening.
